Summary:
Penske is seeking an ambitious and inquisitive Controls & Special Project Lead to join our Controllership team. Penske is a leader in the transportation industry. We help move lives and businesses forward. The Controllership team is looking for an individual to provide best in class support through their expertise and fresh thinking. The Controls & Special Project Lead will work closely with various stakeholders to continually assess the adequacy of the internal control environment and improve operational efficiency. This role will support the Penske Finance community in their continued effort to identify, develop and implement the most efficient and effective processes, while maintaining strong internal controls. In addition, this position will participate in special projects. Major
Responsibilities:
Analyze processes to identify key risks and assess the adequacy of the control environment Provide analysis and recommendations to remediate internal control gaps Identify and eliminate redundant internal controls and processes Evaluate process performance to promote operational efficiency Conduct quality assurance reviews on risk based account reconciliations Drive process improvement throughout the organization Build cooperative working relationships with stakeholders Lead and participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
5 years related experience demonstrating knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA preferred Experience in public accounting and internal controls preferred Project management experience preferred Strong organization, attention to detail and analytical skills required Strong communication and people management skills required Strong team player and self-driven individual Strong time management skills for a fast-paced environment Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
