Menchey Music is the area's largest family-owned music company, and we are looking for a permanent part-time delivery driver to join our warehouse team! If you are a detail-oriented and independent driver with a safe driving history, we encourage you to apply! As a part-time delivery driver, you will be working in Reading, PA out of our storage facility.
You will work an average of 25 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the school year.
During our busy seasons in September and May, increased hours will be available with the possibility of overtime.
You will receive a company-issued vehicle, laptop, and printer.
Essential Job Functions Delivering and picking up musical instruments and accessories to and from private schools in the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions.
Communicating and coordinating with other departments to determine delivery needs on a daily basis.
Designing weekly routes based on the delivery needs of the schools.
Keeping company-issued vehicle clean and serviced as scheduled.
Maintaining facility with basic repair at the Company's expense.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Education and Experience High school education completed or equivalent Prior employment in any capacity preferred Clean driving record Necessary Competencies Problem Solving Attention to Detail Organizational and prioritization skills Basic computer skills Basic GPS operational skills - Copilot GPS app experience a plus Safe driving skills / Maintaining a clean driving record Communication with coworkers and school personnel A job offer and continued employment are contingent upon the employee's completion of a background check, Motor Vehicle Record check, and a drug test with the result of clear.
