8K a year IFS INDUSTRIES a leading manufacturer of adhesives and polymers has a full-time Maintenance Technician opportunity.
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
This position requires the ability to periodically be on call to cover non-routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.

Essential Functions:
Preventive maintenance tasks Troubleshooting industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motors Repair and rebuilding of gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from to 3 sizes Changing of mechanical seals in pumps Shaft alignment for pumps Minor electrical work General facility upkeep and routine repairs Follow up on workorders Must comply with all safety regulations and policies to ensure work is done is a safe manner.
Maintain inventory of spare parts list.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proactive maintenance mindset.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic mathematical and computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system) Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.
Must be able to be on-call for afterhours call in and overtime as needed.
Technical School certifications a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance.
Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Noise level is usually loud.
