Reading, PA Reading, PA Full-time Full-time $17 - $19 an hour $17 - $19 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Tenant Management Aide (Housing) An employee in this position performs a variety of beginning level duties to develop technical competencies and understanding of assigned program areas of the Housing Authority.
Assigned program areas include lease compliance, fiscal services, property management, occupancy, reports, and resident relations.
Duties may involve participation in an on-the-job training program and applying knowledge and skills acquired to the performance of the duties within the program area.
Work is to be performed with increasing independence as skills and competencies are gained.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Tenant Manager who assigns duties, provides instructions, and reviews work for adherence to established standards and instruction.
Examples of Work Performed.
Assists in the performance of a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, property management, and resident compliance.
Assist in the collection, analysis, and evaluation of statistical data for use of planning and administering the housing authority programs.
Assist in the examination of records, and procedures to the adherence of the laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to housing authorities.
Verify income for any changes in employment or composition of family.
Assists new residents at lease signing.
Prepares correspondence related to the problems or inquiries directed at the assigned program area.
Receives and adjusts complaints from residents requesting maintenance work.
Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to assist in managing a housing property.
Some knowledge of the practices of public and private agencies dealing with social problems and community needs.
Ability to plan and organize the management of housing authority records and reports.
Ability to learn, interpret, and administer rules and regulations, procedures relating to property management and housing authority administration.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, residents, other agencies, and the general public.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and written.
Technologically competent.
Experience and Training:
One year of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of housing developments, or properties owned or administrated by public housing agencies.
Or One year of comparable business or professional employment.
Or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
must have:
High school diploma or GED Valid Driver's License.
FT, EOE, Salary Range $17-$19/hr.
