Summary:

As a Penske intern working for the Quality department, you will be exposed to real world business experiences that will utilize your core Industrial Engineering knowledge and enhance your overall capabilities within the workplace. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks which relate to applied Industrial Engineering practices in the workplace throughout multiple Penske facilities.
_Major
Responsibilities:_
Observe and review current work methodologies over multiple iterations and multiplelocations
Time and motion studies of targeted maintenance activities
Review and Analysis of current system generated process performance metrics against observed process standards recorded
Analyze statistical data and time study results to determine logical and appropriate standards
Prepare presentations for executive level reviews
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel and overall facility efficiency
Observe, report, and recommend improvement opportunities towards Safety, Human Factors, and Ergonomics
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
-Student must be pursuing Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and entering Junior or Senior year.
GPA of 3.0 or higher is required
Completion of core IE curriculum classes is preferred; Proficient understanding of the core IE fundamentals is a must
Ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization
Analytical skills / aptitude is required
Written and oral communication and presentation skills is required
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
Skills in Mini-Tab, or other statistical software is a plus
Willingness to travel, including overnight, up to 25% required
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
